Rainfall and thundery activities were witnessed after a hot and humid day in the state capital on Wednesday; mercury soared to 43 degree Celsius in the state,
Light and heavy spell of rainfall for brief periods were recorded in the state capital in the evening. After abrupt weather conditions were settled and mercury starting soaring in the past three days thundery activities and lightening and showers lashed the state capital.
The day temperatures continued to witness increasing trend and unlike Tuesday when several parts of the state recorded day temperature above 40 degree Celsius day temperatures recorded a dip and temperatures dipped below 40 degree Celsius mark on Wednesday.
The highest day temperature was recorded at 42.8 degree Celsius in Nowgong on Wednesday.
State capital witnessed partial cloudy weather conditions and which poured in the evening, day and night temperatures would be recorded around 39 and 21 degree Celsius on Thursday with the same pattern of weather conditions.
According to the forecast Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur and Hoshangabad divisions are likely to receive thundery activities and showers.
Met department has issued warning of thundery activities, lightening and speedy winds in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur and Hoshangabad divisions.
