Police have intensified their crackdown against the violation of Covid-19 guidelines like using mask and social distancing in public spaces across the State.
On the seventh day of the special Covid enforcement drive on Tuesday, police acted against 9,031 violators of mask usage and social distancing rules and collected a total fine of Rs 29, 04,050. Cumulatively in seven days, action was taken against 75,077 violators of Covid protocols in the State and fines amounting to Rs 2,17,49,200 have been collected. Police have urged everybody to adhere to the safety norms.
