The development of the Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) and Chhattisgarh are interlinked, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Saturday.

With mutual cooperation, both have moved ahead, he said, the bonds have strengthened with the passage of time.

Baghel was interacting with SAIL Chairman Soma Mondal when she paid a courtesy call at his residence-cum-office, an official communication said.

The Chief Minister raised the issues of implementation of pay revision of SAIL officers since 2017 and wage revision of employees, ensuring priority to state's residents during appointment of employees in Bhilai Steel Plant, imparting training to upgrade skill and reducing the lease rate during renewal of land allocation of religious-cultural and social organizations.

He hoped that SAIL would continue to cooperate on issues related to the interests of the state and its people.
