Under the India Hypertension Control Initiative Programme (IHCI), seven Primary Health Centres of Raipur district were awarded on Saturday for successfully treating 15,634 registered patients.
The ranking was based on quarterly reports by the Chhattisgarh representatives of the World Health Organization.
Raipur district is implementing IHCI from March 2020. Under it, blood pressure patients are screened and medicines and advice are given. Till date, 15,634 patients are undergoing treatment.
To assess the performance of the health centres, ranking is given on 100 points based on number of patients, control rate of blood pressure, follow-up, availability of medicines and new patient discovery.
The Primary Health Centre (PHC) Mandir Hasaud (85 marks) stood first. Arang block PHC Chandrakhuri scored 80, Community Health Centre Tilda (78), Urban PHC Changorabhatha (77), PHC Torla (74), PHC Mandhar (73) and Tilda block PHC Bangoli (65).
Chief Medical and Health Officer, Raipur Dr Meera Baghel gave away the awards to the winners. Certificates were also given to doctors, Resident Medical Assistants, staff nurses, pharmacists and Resident House Officers.
