The music lovers enjoyed the calm classical music on Sitar. Under Gamak series of performances, the classical sitar recital was held on Wednesday at Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum YouTube channel.
Ustad Alauddin Khan Sangeet and Kala Akademi broadcasted 'Sitaar Vaadan' by Ambrish Gangrade and group, Bhopal and 'Gayan' by Hemang Kolhatkar and group, Gwalior on Wednesday.
The presentation started with the sitar recital by Ambareesh Gangrade, in which he presented twelve volumes of melody tuned in Raga Jayant Malhar, bandish in middle and drutala ektal and three talas. In the presentation, Anshul Pratap Singh gave accompaniment on tabla.
Ambareesh has been playing sitar since childhood, he received his initial education in sitar playing from his father Shri Ramprasad Gangrade. Presently, Pt. Karthik Kumar is taking proper education of sitar playing. He obtained his M.Muse degree from Hindustan Arts, Kolkata. Shri Ambareesh has given his presentation on many prestigious forums of the country. You are currently researching different locks.
In the second presentation Hemang Kolhatkar performed the raga Maru Bihag Delayrit Khayal (composed in solo) - Paiya Tori Lagi and Chhota Khayal (quick Madhyalaya) composed in three talas - Sandha Van Bole Re.
In the presentation, he was accompanied on Tabla by Shahrukh Khan and on Harmonium by Vivek Jain.
