In a bid to provide healthcare facilities to pregnant women in areas in Chhattisgarh that lack electricity, the Health Department is using a Solar Mother Care-cum-Maternity Kit.
An official statement said all the tests before a delivery are ensured with this kit and it is particularly useful to women who are unable to visit the nearest primary health centre.
In Bijapur district, all 17 sub-health centers have been provided the solar kit, which can be taken in a bag.
The kit includes urine strips, HB strips, BP meter, Glucometer strips, fatal doppler, thermometer, hand lamp, lens device, hanging LED bulb, oxymeter, power bank weighing machine and solar panel, the statement said.
