State students shine in JEE Main exam

Proving their mettle once again students from various schools across Jharkhand excelled in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021, the results of which were declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Tuesday evening.

Delhi Public School (DPS), showed spectacular performance for third consecutive year, with DPS Ranchi student Rahul Kumar emerging as JEE Main 2021 State topper, with All India Rank (AIR) rank 134. Rahul score in National Testing Agency (NTA) is 99.9925 percentile.

Rahul Kumar talking to The Pioneer said, “Hard work and determination is the main factor behind my success. I used to spend five to six hours in self-study apart from four hours coaching.” “In this rank I can easily get any good NITs, but I will wait for the JEE Advanced test which is scheduled on October 3.”He also said that he generally used to study at night, but at the same time he never compromised with his sleep. Based on JEE Main result admission at NITs and other centrally funded institutions are carried out while based on JEE Advanced score admission in IITs are carried out.

Rahul’s father Vijay Kumar Srivastva who is ADJ in Deoghar is his role model. Rahul further said, “My father is the role model as he used to motivate me most. My father always asked me to give much focus to mathematics as it helps in sharpening the brain.”

Sources said that more than 20 students have received 99 and above percentile whereas 150+ students confirmed to qualify for JEE Advanced.

Dr Ram Singh, the Principal of the school, sounded sanguine when he expressed his expectation and anticipation of similar success in the forthcoming JEE advanced 2021. The students of JVM Shyamali too have performed brilliantly in the JEE Main result. Vatsal Jain of school has secured 99.9433874 percentile securing first position, followed by Tanisha Salvi of same school securing 99.8341481 percentile. From JVM Shyamali around 185 students have qualified in the JEE Main. Out of total students who have qualified in the examination, 15 students from JVM Shyamali have received more than 99 percentile.

School principal Samarjit Jana has congratulated students for their success. Jana said, “In this corona pandemic time when classroom teaching is suspended our students studying seriously in online classes have performed brilliantly. Students’ hard work, determination and right guidance is behind their success.”

The students of Sarala Birla Public School too have shine in the JEE Main examination. Rohan, Shashank Kumar and Aditya Ranjan from SBP school have brought glory by securing 99.8961289, 99.1746887 and 98.3997438 percentile respectively. They were followed by Shreyansh Dubey with 98.3839632 percentile, Aditya Keshri with 97.0922938 percentile, Shreya Gupta with 96.7618884 percentile, Ramkrishan with 95.1043991 percentile, Ankit Raj with 94.7860215 percentile and Ritesh Mehta with 93.8187694 percentile.

The School Head Personnel and Admin, Dr. Pradip Varma congratulated the students for the great achievement and appreciated their hard work.

The students of coaching institute Champ Square too have performed well in the Jee Main examination. Out of 630 students, 405 students have cleared the JEE advanced test. Some of the students from the institute who have shine in examination are Shivam Kumar securing 832 rank, Shubham Anand securing 878 rank, Ujjawal Dubey securing 1399 rank, Aryan Bhattacharya getting 1595 rank and Sanjeev Mallick getting 1720 rank.

Joint Entrance Examination –Main is conducted for admission to engineering colleges across the country. NTA had conducted the JEE Main 2021 four times this year amid the coronavirus pandemic. Students who have cleared the JEE Mains will now be eligible to appear for the JEE- Advanced exam which is a one- stop exam for admission to the premier Indian Institutes of Technology.
