Third death occurred in mass suicide committed by debt ridden family of automobile trader at Ashok Vihar under Piplani police station on Saturday; two deaths were reported in Friday while third death occurred on second day of incident.
Police have arrested four members gang money lenders Babli Dubey (36), Rani Dubey (20), Urmila Khambra (50) and Premila Beldar (38). Babli lend money on interest, visit borrower's house to collect interest and threatens. Her daughter Rani intimidates borrower, accompanies the mother.
Urmila Khambra is a housewife. Urmila gives the money to Babli to lend on interest. and she gives it to the people at higher interest. Pramila Beldar is younger sister of Urmila. She provides money to her sister interest to provide on interest.
Notably on Thursday Sanjeev Joshi along with his wife, mother and two daughters consumed poisonous substance after failing to repay hefty loan and massive interest which was compounded arbitrarily by money lender gang.
During investigation police found that Sanjeev Joshi, who committed mass suicide after being troubled by lenders had wealth enough to repay in the form of houses. They wanted to sell it and pay off their debt, but the moneylenders refused to provide time and was repeatedly insulted in front of the whole locality that he became mentally disturbed and the whole family took the step of mass suicide.
