A man, his wife and their daughter died on Wednesday, while the couple's five-year-old son was injured when the motorcycle they were riding on collided with an auto rickshaw near a village in Gorakhpur.
As per reports, Kushinagar resident Farukh Ansari (35), his wife Naghma (29), daughter Noorjahan (8) and son Faizal were on the two-wheeler when the crash took place on Pipraich-Gorakhpur road near Jungle Subhan Ali village.
While Ansari, Naghma and Noorjahan died on the spot, Faizal suffered serious injuries and was hospitalised. The bodies were sent for post-mortem examination and police were searching for the auto driver.
Meanwhile in Etawah, two people died and 16 were injured when a bus carrying 65 passengers collided with a truck on Agra-Lucknow Expressway On Wednesday night. The bus was on its way to Gonda from Delhi when it crashed into a truck while trying to overtake it near Timrua village in Saifai police station area.
The deceased were identified as bus driver Dilip Shukla (36) of Pratapgarh and passenger Kishan Shukla of Gonda. The injured were admitted to Saifai medical college hospital.
