Chhattisgarh Forest Minister Mohammad Akbar on Friday said that tribals, farmers and under-privileged were on the state government's priority on issues of development.
Akbar was addressing the inaugural of a two-day webinar on "Tribal Transition in India: Issues, Challenges and Road Ahead" under the aegis of the Hidayatullah National Law University, Nava Raipur, and the Chhattisgarh Tribal Research and Training Institute (TRTI).
“The Chhattisgarh government is making all possible efforts to bring tribals into the mainstream and to uplift their living standards while preserving their cultural and historical heritages,” he said.
Tribal Welfare Minister Premsai Singh said the Chhattisgarh government was committed to overall development of tribal communities.
