Cyber cell nabbed a youth from Ashoka Garden for posting indecent photographs creating five fake facebooks and blackmail a youth and his fiancé using her indecent photographs; accused shared indecent photographs after victim refused to pay money.
Accused used to work as domestic help at the house of youth and got repair his used mobile phone.
The accused find photographs of youth’s fiancé and later threatened them of extorting Rs 1 lakh and failing to which he would make threatening to make his personal photo viral.
The police have recovered two mobile phones, 3 SIM cards, 1 memory card and other documents used in the crime have been seized from the accused.
A complaint was lodged by victim in which he received from an unknown WhatsApp number regarding some private photos his fiancée and along with him and sending the same and demanded Rs 1 lakh but when the victim refused to pay accused made five fake accounts on facebook and WhatsApp and circulated the photogrpahs.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation police registered a case under section 384 of the IPC and section 67 of the IT Act and in the investigation narrowed on the accused and arrested him.
