`Vote for work-oriented AAP, Kejriwal tells Rajinder Nagar

Saturday, 18 June 2022 | Staff Reporter | NEW DELHI

The Aam Aadmi Party chief, Arvind Kejriwal on Friday held a road show in support of their party candidate Durgesh Pathak for Rajinder Nagar Assembly bypoll. During the show, the Delhi Chief Minister, Kejriwal appealed to the people of Rajinder Nagar to vote for the Jhaadu on June 23.

Addressing the people, Kejriwal said that there is no benefit in electing the BJP candidate because they don’t believe in working, but only in the petty politics of slinging dirt on others.

“On the other hand, we guarantee that we will resolve all the issues in your area. Entire Delhi is with the AAP because we are a work-oriented party. I can see  a vast crowd gathered here, and I want to thank each one of you for your support and blessings,” said Kejriwal.

He bashed the BJP for not respecting the mandate of the people or the rule of law. “People are saying they are happy under our rule. I want to say that it is their rule. People are supreme in a democracy. A lot of work has been done in the past seven years, and now every single Delhiite takes pride when someone visits them. People are fed up with BJP wherever they are in power because they only know how to spread hate,” said AAP national convenor.

“I only know how to bring progress. When it is the government which gets the work done by bringing policies and implementing them, it will be advantageous to have an MLA of the ruling party as he will get the work done faster. You have a choice between a progressive party and hate-spreading machinery.

They have started showing their true colours even though the elections are yet to take place. You have to vote for us, and I guarantee you that we will bring progress in the area,” Kejriwal added.

AAP supporters wearing party colours, walked along with the convoy, holding posters bearing images of Kejriwal and Pathak and a slogan -- ‘Kejriwal ki Sarkar, Kejriwal ka Vidhyak’, and raised cheers, joined at many places by local residents, who complimented them by waving brooms from the balconies of their houses.
