The whole country is celebrating 75th year of independence through “Azadi ki Amrut Mahotsav”. In this context, GOI has initiated “Ek Bharath, Sresth Barat” to have cultural exchange among school going students.
A team of 25 students including 14 boys and 11 girls from Odisha will proceed to participate in “Ek Bharath, Sresth Barat” at Mumbai. And, Anshuman Rath, a ninth class student of Kendriya Vidyalaya(KV), is the only boy from Rayagada district participating in the event.
12 students from Khordha, ten from Cuttack and one each from Balangir, Baleswar and Rayagada are the selected ones who will proceed to Mumbai led by two education officers Sasadhara Nayak and Dr Sujata Mahapatra.
The team will fly from Bhubaneswar to Mumbai by Indigo Airlines on June 28 and return back on July 4. For most of the students, it will be an air travel for first time in their lives. “We are extremely proud of Anshuman for being selected as lone student from south Odisha to get this opportunity,” said Principal of KV, Rayagada Durga Prasad Das.
Anshuman is the son of senior scribe Ranjan Rath from RK Nagar, Rayagada.
