Bring juvenile offenders to mainstream: DGP

Chhattisgarh's Director General of Police Ashok Juneja on Thursday called upon his officials to play a key role in bringing juvenile offenders to the mainstream.

Juneja was addressing the inaugural   function of a two-day workshop for police officials associated with child protection,  organised under the aegis of Chhattisgarh Police and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

Around 140       officials of Special Juvenile Police Units and Child Welfare Police Officers from across the state attended the event.

Shyam Sudhir Bandi from UNICEF was present on the occasion. A booklet prepared by him to guide the juvenile offenders was unveiled on this occasion.
