CTPS employees take oath of cleanliness

Chief Engineer and Project Head Ajay Kumar Dutta and Chief Engineer O&M Sunil Kumar Pandey of Chandrapur Thermal Power Station (CTPS) a unit of Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) administered the oath of cleanliness to its employees on Thursday. CTPS is observing the Swachhta Pakhwada program, from May 16 to May 31.

Speaking on the occasion, Dutta said, Mahatma Gandhi had dreamed of not only having political freedom but had envisioned a clean and developed country. He freed our nation by breaking the chains of slavery. Now we have to remove the dirt and serve our country.

All the workers took an oath that they would be conscious of cleanliness and would give time for it. “We will fulfill this cleanliness resolution by doing one 100 hours every year, including two hours every week. We will not spread dirt and will not allow anyone to spread dirt.”

The employees also took the oath that first of all they will start it from their home, family and locality and village and workplace.

Few countries in this world that look clean, are that the citizens there do not litter and do not allow it to happen. With this thought, he took an oath to promote the Swachh Bharat Mission from village to village and street to street.

The employees also took a pledge to get this program done by one hundred people and they would try to get 100 hours for cleanliness from other people. This step towards cleanliness would help in making the entire India clean, he said.

On this occasion, Deputy General Manager Administration TT Das, Deputy Chief Engineer D Das, Additional Director Dilip Kumar, Joint Director Ajay Kumar Singh, Deputy Director Ravindra Kumar, Manager Anil Kumar Singh, Ashok Kumar, Akshay Kumar and other officials and employees were present.
