With the appointment of Jharkhand Academic Council, new Chairman Dr. Anil Kumar Mahto and Vice-Chairman Vinod Singh examination process being conducted by council will gain momentum. After the appointment of two heads, it is expected that a decision will be taken soon regarding the Xth and XIIth  board examinations. A final decision is likely to be taken by next week. The Department of School Education and Literacy will be informed in this regard on behalf of Council.

Mahto and Singh after assuming charge has expedited the examination process. JAC Chairman Dr. Anil Kumar Mahto held a meeting with JAC officials on Thursday.

In the meeting preparations for the examination from class VIII to Class XII were reviewed. The school is currently closed till 31 January in view of the corona infection. It was decided to take permission from the government regarding the examination. The examination dates will be announced only after getting permission from the government.

A decision in this regard may be taken after January 31. Along with matriculation, the date of board examination of class 8th, 9th and 11th will also be announced. Due to the non-appointment of the chairman of JAC, many decisions are pending. Now that the appointment has been made, all pending matters are expected to be decided soon.

Last week, the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) got a new chairman and vice chairman after 124 days. State education minister Jagarnath Mahato around 40 days back had announced the appointment of Dr. Anil Kumar Mahato, former Pro VC of Vinod Bihari Mahto University as  chairman Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) and Dr. Vinod Singh, teacher of KCB College, as vice-chairman of council. The JAC sees new chairman and vice chairman after 124 days, as on September 14, after the completion of tenure of chairman Arvind Prasad Singh and vice chairman Phool Singh, the examination body was running headless.
