NMC nod to Korba Medical College

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a letter of intent to the Chhattisgarh’s Korba Medical College, granting recognition for 100 seats for the academic session 2022-23, it was announced on Friday.

The Korba Medical College was recognized for medical education based on the infrastructure and facilities provided in the medical college after an inspection by the NMC, an official statement said.

Health Minister T.S. Singh Deo hailed the Central nod for NMC.

In 2020, permission was granted to open three medical colleges in Kanker, Mahasamund and Korba districts.
