Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday said everyone must learn to strengthen democratic values and traditions.
He was extending greetings with the people on the occasion of the National Voters Day on January 25. State and district level events will be held to mark the day.
In his message, Baghel said the day makes everyone aware of the need to strengthen democratic values and traditions, an official communication said.
He said that India is one of the largest democracies in the world. So, each citizen has the primary responsibility and plays his or her part to strengthen democracy.
The power of vote should be used with full responsibility and without fear, he said.
He urged all youths completing 18 years of age to register themselves as voters. Governor Anusuiya Uikey will be chief guest at a function at Indira Gandhi Agricultural University in Raipur on January 25.
