As India celebrates the 74th Republic Day on Thursday, Chhattisgarh Governor Anusuiya Uikey will hoist the tricolour in Raipur while Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will do so at Lalbagh in Jagdalpur.
On Tuesday, a full-dress final rehearsal for the Republic Day was done in Raipur in the presence of Director General of Police Ashok Juneja, Raipur Collector Sarweshwar Narendra Bhure and the Governor's Security Officer Ashok Kumar.
This year's parade in Jagdalpur will be led by DSP Anil Kurre. He will march with 14 contingents under his command.
Cabinet Ministers and senior legislators have been assigned to be Chief Guests in different district headquarters.
At the events, schoolchildren will present cultural programmes and tableaux related to government departments will be showcased.
