HC reserves order on plea by Kejriwal
New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday reserved its verdict on a petition by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal challenging his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in a money-laundering case linked to the alleged excise policy scam. “I am going to reserve judgement,” said Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma after hearing the senior counsel appearing for the AAP leader as well as the agency. The AAP national convener, who arrested by the ED on March 21, questioned the “timing” of his arrest and said it was in contravention of the basic structure of the Constitution, including free and fair elections and level playing field.
Cloudy skies likely in Delhi
New Delhi: Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 17.3 degrees Celsius on Wednesday morning, with the weather office predicting light rain in parts of the city. Gusty winds with a speed of 30-40 kmph are likely in the city and the maximum temperature will touch 35 degrees Celsius. For Thursday, the weather office has forecast generally cloudy skies with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to settle at 35 and 18 degrees Celsius, respectively. The humidity level was recorded at 63 per cent. The air quality in the city stood in the moderate category with an AQI reading of 155. An AQI between zero and 50 is considered good, 51 and 100 satisfactory, 101 and 200 moderate, 201 and 300 poor, 301 and 400 very poor, and 401 and 500 severe.
