BJP slams JMM Govt for delaying municipal elections

Wednesday, 10 April 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

State BJP slammed the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) led alliance government over delaying of Municipal Corporation and Panchayat Elections on Tuesday. Leader of Opposition Amar Bauri said that CM and his Cabinet Ministers are limited only to his family. Bauri said that the intention of the state government behind not conducting municipal elections is to promote corruption.

He said that today civic elections are pending in the entire state. Recently, on the PIL of. Roshni Khalkho, the court had given instructions to hold elections within three weeks, but the state government appealed to dismiss the petition by passing the time on the pretext of a reverse triple test.

Bauri said that the intention of the state government is not clear. This government wants to promote corruption through municipal bodies. The government knows that elections cannot be conducted without a triple test. This government is also sitting silent in the direction of conducting a triple test. The Backward Classes Commission is also not fully constituted.

He said that the state government is not even forming other constitutional institutions. It is just misleading the public by making false statements. Wrong information is also being given regarding the Information Commissioner. The intention behind not forming commissions is to cover up corruption.

He said that those who cry for democracy kill democracy every day. Their history is old. Be it emergency or postponing civic elections, all are steps to weaken democracy.

He said that the BJP government under the leadership of Arjun Munda had strengthened democracy and ensured public participation by holding Panchayat elections which were pending for 30 years. The Raghubar government had conducted the civic elections.

He said that today the parties and leaders deeply immersed in corruption are uniting against Modi ji. Giving each other a shoulder.

The public will teach Thugbandhan a lesson by giving victory to NDA on 14 Lok Sabha seats and Gandey seat in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

He said that Chief Minister Champai Soren ji should rein in those who file wrong affidavits and spread confusion on behalf of the state government.

He said that time will tell how much the Chief Minister will be able to do because he is not getting much attention in the party. Not being kept in limelight. Right now the party is keeping Madam Kalpana Soren ji in the limelight.

Vice President Aarti Kujur, spokesperson Pratul Shah Dev, co-media in-charge Ashok Badaik were present in the press conference.
