CRPF 172nd Battalion marks 20th Raising Day in Garhwa

The 172 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) marked its 20th Raising Day with immense joy and pride, reflecting on its years of dedicated service and commitment to the nation. 

The program was jointly inaugurated by Chief guest DC Shekhar Jamuar, SP Deepak Kumar Pandey, Sergeant Major Nupendra Kumar Singh by lighting a lamp.

 On the occasion, the DC said that with the help of CRPF 172 battalion, a great achievement has been achieved against Naxalites in Garhwa. Budha Pahad, which was called the stronghold of Naxalites, was made Naxalite-free. Today people live fearlessly in places like Budha Pahad. He said that no amount of praise for Garhwa Police and CRPF would be enough. 

SP Deepak Kumar Pandey said that Garhwa was once being called the stronghold of Naxalites. But Garhwa Police and CRPF established coordination and worked towards making it Naxalite-free. This is the reason that today Naxalites have been completely eradicated from Garhwa. 

Before this the Commandant of the Corps along with all the officers and soldiers started this important day by garlanding the Martyr's Memorial in the Battalion Headquarters premises. On the occasion,  Nripendra Kumar Singh, Commandant, remembering the sacrifice of the martyrs, appealed to the Corps personnel to take inspiration from their lives. Under the Foundation Day Celebration program, "Foundation Day Fair" was organized , in which the soldiers and their families thoroughly enjoyed the Foundation Day Fair equipped with various types of sports competitions and food stalls. In the cultural evening organized on Foundation Day, the soldiers of the battalion and the local artists made the occasion very excellent by presenting excellent songs and dances. 

On the occasion D.N. Lal DIG GC.  CRPF Ranchi, Rajesh Sharan Singh, Principal District Judge, Shekhar Jamuar, Deputy Commissioner ,Vipul Kumar, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Garhwa, VP. Tripathi, Commandant 11 Battalion, Deepak Kumar Pandey  SP, Dilip Kumar DFO (North),J.P. Singh, Second Commanding Officer, 112 Bn  Vinod Kannaujiya, Second Commanding Officer 11 Bn CRPF, Abhinav Anand Second Commanding Officer 214 Bn CRPFAmarendra Kumar Singh, Second Commanding Officer, 172  U.R. Rameswaram, Deputy Commandant, 172 Dr. Aastha Kohli, SMO, 172 Bn  Venkatesh, Deputy Commandant, Range Palamu Dr. Ashok Kumar Civil Surgeon and others were also present.
