Talent shines at Jharkhand Yogasana Sports Championship

The city witnessed a spectacular display of yoga prowess as the Jharkhand Chapter of World Fitness Federation (WFF) of Yogasana Sports India organised the 'Jharkhand State Yogasana Sports Championship' at Bistupur Milani Hall. With over 400 participants hailing from various corners of the state, the event proved to be a grand success, promoting the significance of yoga in achieving holistic well-being.

The day commenced with an inaugural session graced by esteemed guests, including Shivam Bhadauria, International President of the Federation, and Raj Kumar Gupta, CEO of Jharkhand Government, JAP IT, among others. The competition, spanning a plethora of yoga categories, unfolded throughout the day, showcasing the participants' remarkable skills and dedication.

Distinguished personalities like Ritu Rawat, General Secretary of the Federation, and Sanjay Kumar Jha, General Secretary of Yoga Federation of India, adorned the prize distribution ceremony, acknowledging the outstanding performances of the winners. Noteworthy was the presence of eminent judges, comprising 18 yoga experts from diverse regions, who meticulously assessed the participants and selected the top achievers in each category.

The event witnessed participants of all age groups, ranging from children as young as five years to elders above 60 years, showcasing their mastery in various yoga forms. Shreya Sao and Ashish Ranjan emerged as the Champions of Champions in the women's and men's categories, respectively, while participants in the Moms category also garnered accolades for their exceptional performances.

Addressing the gathering, the guests emphasized the profound benefits of yoga in maintaining physical and mental health, underscoring its significance as a holistic wellness practice. Several attendees shared personal anecdotes highlighting the transformative impact of yoga in their lives.

The event was orchestrated under the able guidance of Federation Technical Director Rajesh M Acharya, with support from individuals like Yoga guru Anshu Sarkar, and Smiki Sarkar. Uday Chandravanshi conducted the program with finesse, while Smiki Sarkar extended a vote of thanks, acknowledging the collective efforts that made the event a resounding success.

The 'Jharkhand State Yogasana Sports Championship' not only celebrated the ancient tradition of yoga but also served as a platform for fostering a culture of health and wellness in the community. With enthusiastic participation and unwavering support, the event exemplified the enduring appeal and relevance of yoga in contemporary society.
