Cops crack jewellery heist, recover gold & silver worth Rs 10 lakh

Bhind police arrested three miscreants involved in robbery from a jewellry shop and recovered cash, robbed jewelry and arms used in the crime.

Anand Soni, runs a jewellery shop who reported to the Kotwali police regarding robbery from shop Anand Jewelers in Sarafa Bazar, on Saturday at around 7 in the evening, three unknown miscreants on a red motorcycle fired in the air from a 315 bore pistol and took away gold and silver jewellery from shop.

Police swung into action and three police teams were formed and received information from Ater police that three persons resembling the appearance of the accused were spotted near  Ater Fort towards Chambal, based on which police team surrounded the accused. Two accused opened fire at the police while the third person tried to escape with the bag.

The police team warned all the three accused to surrender but the accused fired again at the police team and the police team retaliated in self-defense and fired at the accused.

On checking with the search light, the accused were found lying in the bushes with bullet wounds in their legs.

The accused were identified as Gulli alias Shivam (23), Anshu Shrivas (19) and Mohit Tomar all residents of Morena.

On checking the belongings they were carrying cash Rs.2.77 lakh, two gold chains three pendants, two pairs of earrings, one ring, one single earring and 6.95 kg silver, worth Rs. 10 lakh and one 315 bore pistol, one 12 bore pistol, 5 live cartridges and 4 empty shells were recovered from them.

The accused accepted to have committed the crime and also confessed to committing such incidents in Ahmedabad, Morena, Mumbai etc. areas which are under investigation.
