A free eye check-up camp organised by Lodge Irish Friendship number 128 in collaboration with the General Williams Masonic Polyclinic. The check up camp provided eye care services to over 200 people in Budh Nagar, Inderpuri. The initiative aimed to support underprivileged residents who often struggle to access quality medical services.
The camp, held at B-73 Budh Nagar, was conducted under the guidance of Dr Nadeem and volunteer doctor Dr Tanvi Lijhara with assistance from an optometrist and paramedical staff from the Masonic Polyclinic. Throughout the day, 208 patients underwent comprehensive eye examinations. As part of the outreach, 146 patients received free reading glasses and eye drops for various vision issues, while 27 individuals diagnosed with cataracts were identified for sponsored surgeries to be conducted at no cost.
These measures ensured that patients not only received diagnosis but also follow-up care for long-term improvement. The event was led by the current Master of Lodge Irish Friendship number 128, Inder Pal Singh Kalsi and reflected the Masonic principles of compassion, charity, and service to society. Members of the Lodge and the medical team expressed their gratitude for the strong community participation and reaffirmed their commitment to conducting more such camps.
