District Election Officer Ananya Mittal recently conducted an inspection of the District Contact Center (DCC) and the 1950 toll-free helpline call center in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. During the inspection, Mittal reviewed the operations of the centers, including the handling of complaints and their resolution status.
As per the report provided by the Deputy Election Officer, a total of 1413 complaints have been successfully resolved through the toll-free number 1950, with 704 individuals benefiting from the services provided by the contact center.
Mittal emphasized the importance of timely and satisfactory resolution of complaints received from the public and voters. He provided necessary guidelines to the personnel and stressed the need for prompt assistance to address the concerns of the people within the stipulated time frame.
The 1950 toll-free number serves as the primary point of contact for all election-related inquiries, feedback, suggestions, and complaints. Residents of East Singhbhum district can dial 0651-1950 to reach the toll-free helpline, with 0651 being the STD code for the district.
