Hidden agenda of Congress and INDI Alliance is to snatch the rights of SC, ST and OBC: Patel

Before voting is to be held in the third and fourth phases of Lok Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh, the political temperature is increasing.

Senior BJP leader and minister Prahlad Patel has fiercely targeted the Congress. While talking to media persons, Patel said that the hidden agenda of Congress and INDI Alliance is to snatch the rights of SC, ST and OBC and give them to their favourites. Congress wants to give the share of reservation for Dalits, tribals and backward classes to Muslims.

Patel said that Congress's intention of Muslim appeasement and opposition to the majority class has become widely known to the public. This conspiracy of Congress is going to weaken the country and shatter the constitutional values, which cannot be condemned enough. By talking about religion-based reservation which was not accepted by the makers of our Constitution, the Congress Party is ignoring the Constitution of the country in the greed for its electoral gains. Congress says that Muslims have the first right on the country's resources, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi says that the poor have the first right on the country's resources. Bharatiya Janata Party will never allow this effort of Congress to succeed and the majority society of the country, Dalits, backward classes and tribals will also have to stand against it. He said that Congress conspired to not give constitutional status to the Backward Classes Commission.

Patel said that despite the formation of the Backward Classes Commission in 1993, in 2004 the Congress government in Andhra Pradesh made a provision to give 7 to 10 percent reservation to Muslims, whereas the Muslim population there was only 9.5 percent. Congress is calling all Muslim castes as OBC i.e. socially and educationally backward. Congress tried to implement Muslim reservation in Andhra Pradesh four times, but could not do so due to the intervention of the Supreme Court.

Congress had promised reservation in education and jobs for Muslims in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections. Congress wanted that there should be a separate quota for Muslims within the OBC reservation.

In 2011, during UPA-II, the Ministry of Minority Affairs proposed an 8.4 per cent sub-quota within the OBC quota, which also included 6 per cent reservation for Muslims. This revolutionary black work of Congress is that they will grab your rights, your money, your property and hand it over to their favorite minority class.
