Intense heat witnessed in Bhopal, elsewhere

Amidst the rain and storm in Madhya Pradesh, the effect of intense heat was also seen in MP on Saturday. There was intense heat in Nimar and Khandwa-Khargone was the hottest. The day temperature here was more than 42 degrees.

At the same time, the effect of heat was seen in the eastern part also. The mercury remained more than 40 degrees in most of the cities of the eastern part including Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Khajuraho. It was hot in Bhopal also. However, many cities including Bhopal remained cloudy.

Bhopal recorded severe hot and humid conditions at 40 degree celsius.

Met has issued warning of hot nights in at some places in Narmadapuram, Gwalior, Datiya, Satna, Umaria and Maihar districts while thunderstorm and gusty winds (30-40 km/hr) with isolated light rainfall would be witnessed over Vidisha and Raisen districts.

The mercury remained more than 42 degrees in Khargone-Khandwa. Temperatures of 41 degrees or more were recorded in Narsinghpur, Khajuraho, Rewa, Sidhi. The mercury remained more than 40 degrees in Damoh, Nowgong, Tikamgarh, Umaria, Malajkhand, Satna and Mandla.

In Madhya Pradesh, there are chances of rain in 19 districts including Indore-Jabalpur in the next 3 days. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be an impact of Western Disturbance in the state from April 21-23. Because of this, there will be drizzle and thunderstorms. Earlier on Friday, there was heat in the state. The maximum temperature in Khandwa was 42 degrees. The mercury crossed 40 degrees in 19 cities including Gwalior and Jabalpur. Whereas, it rained in Shajapur. At the same time, the weather also changed in Ujjain, Agar, Rajgarh, Guna and Vidisha.

The effect of heat was seen in the state on Friday. The mercury remained more than 42 degrees in Malajkhand and Khandwa. At the same time, the mercury crossed 41 degrees in Jabalpur, Narmadapuram, Shivpuri, Khajuraho, Khargone, Satna, Damoh and Rewa. Betul, Seoni, Narsinghpur, Guna, Sagar, Umaria and Nowgong recorded temperatures of 40 degrees or more.
