Bagdu police station of the district has made a big achievement by forming a raiding team on Friday and arresting a criminal with a country-made pistol. Here, on the basis of secret information, Bagdu police station in-charge Waris Hussain conducted a raid as per the instructions of Lohardaga Superintendent of Police Haris Bin Zaman and recovered an illegal country-made pistol from a youth from Nirahu village of the police station area. Also, the young man was arrested and sent to judicial custody on Friday. He has been identified as 32 year old Kishore Tirkey, resident of Brahmandiha village, father of late Suresh Tirkey. Let us tell you that the accused was in his in-laws house in Nirahu. According to the information, Bagdu police station in-charge Waris Hussain had received information about a young man roaming around with a country-made pistol. After which when the formed team reached Nirahu, the young man started running away after seeing the police. After which he was caught and brought to Bagdu police station. Here the police registered a case against the accused under Bagru police station case number 9/2024 Section US/25(1-B)A/26 of the Arms Act and started taking further action.
