Palamu Admin draws plan for April 24 nomination spree

April 24 is going to be the day of the nominations here in Daltonganj. BJP candidate Vishnu Dayal Ram is to file his nomination for the third term. BJP has announced that V K Singh retired Army Chief and erstwhile minister in Modi cabinet will be accompanying Ram during his nomination. 

 

State president of the RJD Sanjay Kumar Singh Yadav said that his party candidate Mamta Bhuiyan will also file her nomination on April 24.

 

Again words doing the rounds here suggest former Maoist turned politician cum one term MP Kameshwar Baitha will also be filing nomination on April 24 on the BSP ticket. 

 

6 nomination forms have so far been sold @ of 12,500 rupees each. A candidate has liberty to file a maximum of 4 sets of his nomination by spending just 12, 500 rupees. 

 

Palamu administration has drawn a plan for crowd management and smooth nomination. 

 

There is going to be a heavy deployment of forces along with the magistrate. 

 

Traffic police have been asked to keep clear traffic on NH 75 and other allied city roads as a combined crowd of 10,000 people supporters of this or that candidate may pour in on the day of the nomination. 

 

There will be additional 200 small or big vehicles making entry into the town. 

 

Police are to take care of two road bridges one Daltonganj Shahpur road bridge and the other Singra Paton road bridge. 

 

There is a serious apprehension of traffic jams on these two bridges. 

 

Police are to keep free passage of the ambulances either going out of Daltonganj or coming in here.
