PM Modi to hold poll rallies in Chaibasa, Palamu on May 3, 4

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will blow the poll bugle in Jharkhand from Chaibasa on May 3. The Prime Minister will be in Chaibasa on May 3 addressing a rally in support of BJP candidate Geeta Koda. After addressing the rally in Chaibasa, he will roar in Palamu the next day and on same day in evening he will address a rally in Sisai which comes under Lohardaga Lok Sabha segment.

The PM on his two day visit will cover all four Lok Sabha seats will goes to poll on phase four. The four seats which goes to poll on May 13 are, Lohardaga, Chaibasa, Khunti and Palamu. From Chaibasa the party has given ticket to former Congress MP Geeta Koda.

Ahead of the Lok Sabha election, the Congress has got a big jolt as its lone MP in Jharkhand Geeta Koda on February 26 joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Ranchi. Koda, wife of former Chief Minister of Jharkhand Madhu Koda, won the 2019 Lok Sabha seat from Chaibasa by defeating the BJP candidate Lakshman Giluwa. She joined the party in the presence of Jharkhand BJP State president Babulal Marandi and Leader of Opposition in Jharkhand Assembly Amar Kumar Bauri.

The JMM has fielded Joba Manjhi from the seat. From Lohardaga the party has given ticket to BJP former Rajya Sabha MP Samir Oroan, while from Khunti the party has given ticket to union agriculture minister Arjun Munda. From Palamu the party has reposed faith on sitting MP VD Ram.  

PM Modi will seek votes for former Jharkhand Director General of Police and BJP candidate VD Ram who is contesting elections for the third consecutive time from Palamu Lok Sabha seat on BJP ticket.

According to party sources, the Prime Minister will be addressing the rally at Chianki Airport in Palamu. Officials associated with the Prime Minister's security are likely to reach Palamu by Monday or Tuesday.

BJP's Palamu media in-charge Shivkumar Mishra also asserted that the Prime Minister's visit has been scheduled for May 4 and the party has started preparations for the Prime Minister's visit.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Nitin Gadkari and Mohan Yadav are also expected to hold public meetings at Garhwa in Palamu. Dates of which, however, are yet to be finalized.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will address an election rally at Bhavnathpur, in Garhwa.

The Lok Sabha elections will be held in Palamu in the fourth phase and the election campaign will start from Tuesday.

There is enthusiasm among BJP workers regarding the arrival of PM. They have already started their preparations.

According to the schedule released by BJP, PM will hold a meeting in Chaibasa on May 3 at 3 pm. After this, the PM will address the people on May 4 at Palamu at 9:30 am. Soon after this the CM will leave for Gumla. Here Sisai will address the public meeting at 12:30. From leaders, workers to the administration, everyone has started preparing for the arrival of PM.

According to BJP sources, Santhal and Kolhan are important seats for BJP in the Lok Sabha elections. Here BJP will sacrifice its life for the victory of its candidates. The party is still strong to some extent in Santhal but Kolhan is completely different. To achieve this, BJP has given ticket to Geeta Koda. However, local voters are angry with Geeta Koda. Because of this this seat is in some trouble. To achieve this, PM Modi's meeting is being organized here. Party source has said that Modi's meeting will be held in Santhal also.
