Monday, 22 April 2024 | PNS | Jamshedpur

In a significant step towards community development, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West, in association with village leaders, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to initiate comprehensive developmental work for Gareya Khocha village. The MoU, signed by President Neeta Agarwal and Mukhiya Bhim Singh Munda, aims to address various developmental needs identified in the village. This collaborative effort was announced by Anjani Nidhi, signifying a commitment to uplift the living standards of the villagers. This initiative is part of Rotary International's broader mission to serve humanity, exemplified by projects like the installation of water supply equipment dedicated to the memory of Rotary International founder, Paul Harris, on his birthday. The project, led by President Neeta Agarwal and supported by Secretary Ashok Jha, Project Chair Nand Kishore Agarwal, J. B. Singh, and others, underscores Rotary's dedication to addressing fundamental needs such as access to clean water.

The inauguration ceremony witnessed expressions of joy from villagers through folk songs and dance, marking a new chapter of development and collaboration. DG Bagaria, Assistant Governor Anjani Nidhi, Rtn. Dr. Amit Mukherjee, l. J B Singh, and other Rotarians distributed food and water buckets among the villagers, symbolizing Rotary's commitment to community welfare. Special recognition was extended to Mohammad Kuhoor, Chief Business Service Officer from Empower, and Gerald Fernandes and his entire family for their valued support in this endeavor.
