Take measures to prevent man-animal conflict on voting day: CEO

While presiding over the meeting convened with the aim of smoothly conducting the voting at the polling stations located in the forest areas of the state, Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar said that the concerned Forest Divisional Officers will be deployed around the polling stations of the identified forest areas in their respective areas. -Make every effort to prevent human-wildlife conflict on voting day. For this, alert the residents around the respective polling centers so that there is no possibility of any untoward incident and people can easily go to their polling centers and exercise their franchise.

He said that after assessing the situation in time, coordination with the concerned District Election Officer should be taken and necessary action should be taken. He directed that with better coordination with the local police administration, stop the movement of drugs, liquor etc. in the forest areas and ensure strict action against the culprits.

On this occasion, Additional Chief Electoral Officer Sandeep Singh and Dr. Neha Arora, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests NK Singh, Chief Forest Conservator Wildlife SR Natesh, Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Devdas Dutta, System Analyst Syed Nasir Jameel and officials of the election office were present. Forest division officers of all the districts of the state remained connected through video conferencing.
