Several government and private offices in the district are hosting voter awareness programs through the Voter Awareness Forum. Meetings were held in the BSL HRD Auditorium and other government/private institutions, urging individuals to fill out Form 6 and use their voting rights on May 25.
In light of the 2024 Lok Sabha general elections, District Electoral Officer and Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav has directed the district administration to increase voter turnout. Sweeping through over 8 dozen government offices/private institutions, Voter Awareness Forum meetings were conducted. Employees were encouraged to vote on May 25, 2024, and those not listed in the voter list were urged to fill out Form 6 and submit it to the Booth Level Officer (BLO) in their respective areas. Additionally, the Voter Help Line app was introduced on-site.
In line with this, a Voter Awareness Forum meeting was held at the HRD auditorium in Bokaro Steel Plant. Various officials including Saurav Kumar Bhuvaniya, AMC Chas , Om Prakash Gupta, SDO , Rajan Prasad, Executive Director, and other BSL officials attended.
Mr. Bhuvaniya emphasized the importance of participating in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, stressing that no voter should be left behind. He highlighted the necessity of everyone exercising their voting rights, encouraging all employees and their families to fill out Form 6.
Meanwhile, Om Prakash Gupta expressed dissatisfaction with the urban voter turnout, including the BSL area. He underscored the significance of democracy in our lives, stating that India is the world's largest democratic country. He stressed that democracy thrives when everyone participates, calling on all eligible voters to cast their ballots.
Rajan Prasad appealed to all officials, employees, and their families to vote on Election Day, assuring the district administration's commitment to voter awareness, with BSL actively engaging in these efforts. At the event, the Voter Awareness Rath was also flagged off, and Top officials reaffirmed everyone's pledge to uphold the democratic values.
