BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik arrived here for a marathon election campaign in the district on Saturday.
He sought votes for his party’s Lok Sabha and Assembly candidates of the district.
Addressing a huge gathering here, Patnaik cited different developmental works of his government and criticised the Opposition for creating false propaganda against the government.
Patnaik was accompanied by Biju Janata Dal leader Kartik Pandian. After a brief rest here, the Chief Minister proceeded to address an election meeting in the Rayagada Assembly constituency.
Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a huge BJP rally in Nabarangpur district on Monday.
