To prepare for the Lok Sabha elections in Ranchi, today, Wednesday, a meeting of the district officials of Ranchi District Congress Committee was held at Congress Bhawan, Ranchi. During the meeting Chief Guest, former Union Minister, Subodhkant Sahay said that  the political situation of the Country is frightening and this is not just a general election but an election to save the Constitution of the Country.

On the occasion Sahay also said that this is an election to preserve the social harmony of the Country. “That is why all the leaders will have to go from village to village and deliver the cards related to five Nyaya and 25 Guarantees of the Congress Party to every house,” he added.
 
The meeting was presided over by Dr Rakesh Kiran Mahato. The District officials from all the blocks of Ranchi Lok Sabha constituency were present in this meeting.

In the meeting, all the officials gave their suggestions in view of the Lok Sabha elections. It was also resolved that the victory of India Alliance in Ranchi Lok Sabha has to be ensured at any cost. On this occasion, Sahay, while expressing his views, encouraged all the officials and said that all of you are established leaders of your field. “You should engage vigorously in this election war. To save the Country, every Congress leader will have to make the public aware by running a public relations campaign at the Panchayat and booth level,” he added.

On this occasion, senior Congress leader Pradeep Tulsyan said that now there is very little time for elections. We all have to give our full strength so that the victory of the Lok Sabha is ensured, he added.

The vote of thanks was given by District Vice President Shaheed Ahmed. Hundreds of leaders and workers including Shivnarayan Mahato, Abdus Salam, Lalchand Soni, Enul Haq, Vinita Devi, Dashrath Mahato, Firoz Alam, Dev Kumar Mahato, Bhim Singh, Hussain Ansari, Manoj Lakra, Gulzar Ahmed, Ashfaq Alam were present in the meeting.
