Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff will act in upcoming Odia film Daha Balunga being produced by Pupinder Singh.
During the 70s, the Brajaraj Movies had produced Danda Balunga starring Uttam and Aprajita in leading casts directed by late Md Mahasin and it was a big box office hit during that time.
Now, Uttam's son Babushaan is playing the main lead in Daha Balunga, being directed by Sudhakar Basant. Jackie Shroff will share the screen space in a prominent character. Veteran stars like Uttam, Bijay Mohanty and Aparajita are also there in the star list.
The movie is also being made in Bengali and its music is composed by Abhijit Majumdar. The story has been scripted by Bapu Goswami. The movie is expected to go on floors soon. Ankeeta Mukherjee, a distant relative of Bollywood actress Kajol will play the female lead. Jackie Shroff will play her father’s role.
