Former Chief Technical Officer Jharkhand Police Vineet Kumar has bagged two awards – Infosec Maestros and Top 100 CISO Awards of 2014 for his contribution to the Information Security community during his work while working with the Jharkhand Police. Currently, Kumar is a Chevening Cyber scholar studying at Defence Academy of the United Kingdom, Ministry of Defence & doing a Post graduation in Cyber Defence.
The objective of the programme is to enhance participants’ ability to contribute to public policy on cyber security, by providing an understanding of the implications of alternative policy and legislative approaches -- national security, commercial opportunity, crime prevention, and freedom of expression and the right to privacy.Kumar, while working with the Jharkhand Police, was heading the Cyber Defence Research Centre of Jharkhand.
