A 24x7 Odia news channel of the ETV group was officially launched by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik here on Monday. In the presence of a galaxy of mediapersons, political leaders and experts from various fields, Patnaik dedicated the channel to the people of the State. Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Bhubaneswar MP Prasanna Patsani hailed the ETV group’s decision to launch an Odia news channel. “The Nabakalebar of the existing ETV Odia channel will help the people get up-to-date news every day,” said Pradhan. ETV Network head Jagdish Chandra said they would create a new trend in the field of Odia journalism. Among others, the channel’s editor Nilambar Rath and his team were present.
