What should be the name of the new secretariat building which will house the offices of Chief Minister and Chief Secretary of the stateIJ The suggestion came from Governor Ram Naik who suggested the building should be named as RsMantralaya’.

In his letter to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav here on Monday Governor said that the words like secretariat reflects British mentality. This building can also be called Sachivalaya but Mantralaya seems to be a better word as office of Chief Minister is proposed in that building, Naik said in his letter.

In his letter he said that he was happy to know that a new secretariat is being constructed at Darulshaffa. “The building should have a proper name as per the pride and dignity of the state,” Naik said his letter the content of which were released to media.

Naik also said that he had spoken to Chief Minister regarding this and had suggested that all the offices where CM sits has a name and therefore the new officer should have a name that would reflect the importance of the building.
