Yojana, a monthly magazine focusing on socio-economic issues published by the Central Government, would be published from Odisha.

Earlier, the magazine was published in Odia language from New Delhi.

Notably, the developmental monthly magazine is being published by the Publication Division, Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in 13 Indian languages since 1957.

Apart from Hindi, English, Punjabi and Odia, the magazine in other regional languages is published from their respective States.

It was a long standing demand by the State to publish the magazine from Odisha. Recently, the issue was raised by MP Balabhadra Majhi before the Centre.

Keeping the demand in mind, the Centre finally has approved to publish the magazine from Odisha and appointed Bhubaneswar Doordarshan (news section) Assistant Director Gopal Chandra Mohapatra in-charge of publishing the magazine.
