Odia movie 'Agastya' to be released this Raja

The Ollywood film goers are in for yet another surprise. little does our audience know that Ugramm, a Kannada film, was a blockbuster back south with a great storyline, punching dialogues and cinematography no short of a Hollywood standard. It is this blockbuster that prompted our very own Ollywood superstar Anubhav to do a remake named Agastya under the banner Akshay Parija Productions, due for release this Friday.

Now it’s worth mentioning here that Ollywood is not the only industry that is up for this film’s remake. South Superstar Dhanush, who also happens to have Bollywood superhits to his name, has expressed his desire to become Agastya not only in the Tamil version but also in Hindi.

It is not unusual for producers and directors to replace actors but the film had such a lasting impact on Salman that there is a buzz around B-town now that none other than Sallu Miyan will be in the Hindi remake. Now, that is an unusual surprise we look forward to.

While the other remakes are helmed by industry heavy-weights, the Odia remake boasts nothing short of star-studded cast and crew. Apart from Anubhav, handsome boy Akash DasNayak will be seen in a grave yet interesting avatar. Bong beauty Jhilik Bhattacharjee and industry veterans Mihir Das, Priyanka Patnaik, Minaketan, Manoj Mishra, Munna Sethi, Salil Mishra have given screen stealing acts.

“Ugramm has set a standard down south with an impactful storyline that other regional films are drawing inspiration from it. Owing to its wonderful plot and how it can connect with the audience is what drew me to produce this film. I believe such kind of films should be promoted and language should not pose a barrier,” says Akshay Parija.

Prem Anand has composed the music with few tracks sung by Ananya Sritam Nanda of Indian Idol Junior fame. Digitally distributed by AmaraMuzik, the songs are already a hit amongst the audience.  With so much buzz around the film that has piqued the viewers’ interest, Agastya is definitely a film that Odia cine goers should look forward to this Raja.
