In yet another case of sexual crime against minors in the Capital, an 11-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 40-year-old staff inside a Government hospital in Rohini early morning on Friday. A case was registered at KN Katju Marg Police Station and the accused was arrested.
According to police, a Police Control Room (PCR) call was received at 6 am regarding a minor girl who was raped by a house keeping staff at ESI Hospital Rohini. She was allegedly admitted in the hospital since September 13.
On Friday morning, the girl had stomach ache and she stepped out of her ward to find a member of nursing staff who could give her some medication, the 40-year-old accused spotted her and took her to his staff quarter and allegedly raped her, the police said.
The accused was employed on a contractual basis, police said. This comes just days after a 7-year-old female child was raped by a 21-year-old man who allegedly inserted a water pipe in her private parts on September 17.
A 10-year-old homeless female girl was brutally raped and beaten at New Ashok Vihar and an 8-year-old girl was raped by an elderly neighbour earlier this month.
