Anandiben Patel attends convocation at ITM University of Gwalior

Governor Anandiben Patel attended the convocation ceremony-2018 organised by the ITM University of Gwalior as the Chief Guest.

Various renowned personalities of the country were honoured with honorary degrees and citation letters during the programme.

Along with this, degrees were presented to 1080 students on this occasion.

Students and teachers were honoured with medals for their best research work in different subjects.

 The Governor congratulated the recipients of honorary degrees and degrees on the occasion.

She said that the founder and teachers of ITM University are entitled for congratulations for the achievements which are being gained by the University in the field of education in the country and abroad.

 She told the students to remain connected with the research work and to move forward by reading biographies of the great personalities. She further told the students to utilize the education to serve the nation.

The Governor mentioned that the academic institutions established by the Great personalities of the country are proving themselves useful in their objectives today too.

Mentioning about Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya, Ravindra Nath Tagore and other personalities, she said that these personalities have carried out exemplary work in the field of education.

Guruvar Ravindra Nath Tagore worked to propagate education in the rural areas for its development by establishing Shanti Niketan.

She told youth to spend two days in a year in rural areas. Moreover, she urged universities of the state to propagate education by adopting villages.

 The Vice Chancellor of Valsad University Dr. Faizan Mustafa laid emphasis on concrete works in the field of higher education.

 Padam Vibhushan Chandiprasad Bhatt (Environmentalist), Padam Vibhushan Prof Maharaja Kishan Bhan (International Scientist), Padam Ratan Thiyam (Theatre Director), Padam Shri Deepa Malik (Adventure Sportsperson),

General Dalbir Singh Suhag, Writer and Journalist Ravish Kumar, Social Activist Bejwada Gulshan were honoured with honorary digress for their best work in their respective fields.
