GRP foils robbery bid, 5 nabbed at Bhopal Railway Station

The GRP Bhopal foiled a dacoity bid and nabbed five miscreants near Bhopal Railway station while planning robbery; sharp-edged weapons were recovered from their possession on Wednesday.

Police said that on the receipt of the information of men carrying arms and planning robbery three teams rushed to the Itarsi end of Bhopal railway station and nabbed five persons. The miscreants tried to escape the spot but were nabbed by the police.

After the five miscreants were nabbed two sharp-edged weapons, one fake pistol, cutter, plier and chili powder were recovered from their possession.

In the initial investigation when the dacoits were questioned they confirmed that they were planning dacoity in Mangla Express.

The five nabbed accused were identified as Bhujji alias Radhyeshyam Raikawar (22) of Vidisha, Ravi Yadav (19) of Indore, Jitu alias Jitendra (24) of Vidisha, Rakesh Jathav (23) of Vidisha and Nawab Khan (27) of Raisen.

Nabbed accused have been booked by police for different crimes in their regions and their crime details would be searched.

Two of the accused are absconding for the past five years in four cases pending in court.After the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under sections 399 and 402 of the IPC and sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act.

The accused have been nabbed by GRP Bhopal, Vidisha and Indore. The gang has committed robbery and theft in the trains and details of crime would be revealed in the further investigation.

 More recoveries would be made in the further investigation said police.The accomplices who help in disposing robbed and stolen goods would be searched.
