JCP celebrates Quality Month

 In line with Nuvoco’s thrust on Quality, Jojobera Cement Plant (JCP) inaugurated Quality Month – a month long celebration of Quality events. The inauguration was done by Manoj Agrawal, Senior Vice President – JCP by hosting the Quality flag in presence of all officers and employees. The objective of celebrating Quality Month is to inculcate and improve Quality in each and every facet of the organization even in small areas. The theme for this year’s Quality Month is ‘Housekeeping’ based on Japanese concept of 5S which is Sort, Set In order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain in order to keep the plant neat and clean. Speaking during the launch Agrawal said, “The purpose of celebrating Quality Month is to promote awareness of quality to encourage development. Quality, along with Trust, Innovation and Safety, are the pillars of our organisation. We need to make quality a demand driven rather than a supply driven commodity.”

 Children’s Day at OPS

 Children’s Day was celebrated at Oxford Public School here on Friday. In the morning the entire assembly was conducted by the teachers. Senior teacher K.R. Jha addressed the students on the occasion and threw light on the charismatic personality of the first Prime Minister. Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru whose birthday anniversary is celebratd as Children’s Day and wished the students Happy Children’s Day. Bishnu Kumar, the Fine & Arts teacher displayed his magic show and entertained all the students. On this occasion Suraj Sharma, the Principal briefed about the importance of Children’s Day after wishing the students Children’s Day and asserted that children are the future of the country and they must gear up to meet the challenges of future for which they must learn life skills and values as well.

 Workshop for teachers at DPS Ranchi

An extensive workshop was conducted by the Sahodaya School Complex, Ranchi zone in collaboration with Ratna Sagar P. Ltd. in the premises of DPS Ranchi on Friday. The motto behind this session was to motivate and help teachers to rediscover their roles not only as a teacher but also as an effective facilitator. Many schools participated with a team of two members (Principal/ Vice Principal/Academic Coordinator and Leaders) in this workshop. Principal Dr. Ram Singh  encouraged them saying that we can only grow, when we keep learning and such sessions only add on to the growth of an individual. He quoted one motivating line that one pen one book one student and one teacher can change the world.
