SAIL’s Independent Director visits BSL

The Independent Director of SAIL, (Prof.) Dr Summer Singh visited Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) today. Singh was received by the plant’s officials on his arrival later they went on to have a look at the plant accompanied by other top officials. At BSL Singh interacted with the officials and later visited Bokaro General Hospital (BGH), informed the PR official. Singh also met with General Managers and senior officers to have in-depth familiarization about the Plant, officials informed.

Fancy dress competition at SBPS

An inter-house Fancy Dress Competition was organized for the students of Std. III, in Sarala Birla Public School, Ranchi. The topics selected for the competition were- Inventions and Discoveries, Food Items, Hollywood & Bollywood Characters, Famous Personalities and Fairy Tale Characters. The students mesmerized everybody present, in their colourful and fascinating costumes. School Head Personnel & Admin Pradip Varma and Principal Paramjit Kaur congratulated the students and motivated them for maximum participation.

RDCIS, SAIL, C-DAC agreement

An Agreement on ‘Indigenous development of model based breakout prediction system for Continuous Caster’ has been signed between Research and Development Centre for Iron & Steel (RDCIS), Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Ranchi and Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Thiruvananthapuram. The Agreement has been signed by S. S. Das, DGM & HoG (PC) RDCIS, SAIL, Ranchi and Dr. Lancy Thomas, Scientist G (Control & Instrumentation Group), C-DAC, Trivandrum at a ceremony held at C-DAC, Thiruvananthapuram. In this agreement, RDCIS, SAIL and C-DAC shall jointly work to develop Break-Out Prediction System (BOPS) Model for SMS II caster of RSP.

Speech competition at Gossner College

Under vigilance awareness week-2018, a speech competition was organized at Gossner College, Ranchi on Tuesday by MECON Limited. On this occasion,  MECON officials alongwith faculty members of Gossner College namely Meena Sinha (Mass comm.), Umesh Kumar Yadav (B.B.A.), Surendra Prajapati (B.B.A.), Vinay Hansda (B.B.A.) and participating students in large numbers were present. Participants have emphasized the importance of eradication of corruption for building New India. Integrity Pledge was also administered to the students.

Mahindra’s lithium ion 3 wheelers

Mahindra Electric Mobility Ltd today rolled out its first lithium ion electric 3 wheeler range Treo and Treo Yaari and announced its price, starting at an attractive Rs. 1.36 lakhs ex-showroom Bengaluru, including FAME subsidy.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Pawan Goenka, Managing Director, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd and Chairman Mahindra Electric said, “As the pioneers of electric mobility in India, Mahindra is poised to be at the forefront of the electric vehicle revolution while spearheading the endeavour through its range of clean mobility solutions. We are proud to launch Treo, the first Li-ion 3-wheeler auto developed in India. The Government of Karnataka has been very supportive in this initiative with their progressive policy framework for EVs. It has always supported accelerated adoption of EVs in the state.”

New feature phones from Jivi
