In an incident reported from East Delhi's Kalyanpuri area, a 48-year-old scooty driver was crushed to death after it was hit by a speeding school bus.
The incident occurred at around 7am on Wednesday, police revealed Thursday.
According to police, the deceased was later identified as Rajesh Kumar (48) a resident of Block-15, Kalyanpuri area. The deceased was reportedly killed on the spot. "He was killed on the spot after his head was crushed by the wheel of the school bus," said a senior police official.
The driver of the speeding school bus has been arrested, police said.
The accused has been identified as 42-year-old Aloknath. He is a resident of Trilokpuri.
Police said that the bus involved in the accident has been seized. "We are further investigating the matter," said a senior police official.
