A day after a former woman staff of the Air Odisha levelled rape allegations against the airline’s CEO Santosh Pani, the GSEC Monarch Decan Aviation Private Limited, the major shareholder in the Air Odisha, on Thursday suspended the accused from his post.
An official statement issued by the company said, “Based on the rape allegations, Pani’s employment has been revoked with immediate effect. He is no longer in service of Air Odisha Aviation Private Limited.”
Notably, a former woman employee of Air Odisha lodged a rape a complaint at the Khandagiri police station here on Wednesday alleging that Pani raped her twice in August.
The complainant, who currently works with Air Deccan, is a resident of Kolkata. She had joined te Air Odisha as security supervisor in July 2018.
