VHP seeks strict implementation of Animal Protection Act

Tuesday, 25 September 2018 | PNS | Ranchi

Regional Head (Cow Protection) of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Trilokinath Bagi during a press conference here on Monday has urged the Chief Minister to strictly implement the law meant for the protection of cows. Bagi stated that despite having a law for the protection of cows in State, due to the apathy of the State government, cow smuggling continues to take place here.

“On the other hand, those who oppose the smuggling and other related activity, the defenders are tortured. It must be noted that a few major cottage industries are dependent on the waste products of cows,” he said. During the press meet Bagi demanded for the promotion of cattle based agriculture; the cow service commission should be constituted, trafficking points should be closed etc.
